Jenny worked for the local Community Probation office for 23 years as a Probation Officer and Service Manager. During that time Jenny became involved in the setting up of the Restorative Justice Trust alongside fellow Trustee David Alexander. This involvement with the restorative justice philosophy stemmed from a Pacifist upbringing and working with perpetrators of crime and their victims.
Evidence showed that the harm caused by conflict, relationship breakdowns, whatever it might be, can only be genuinely resolved by giving everyone involved, the opportunity to tell their story, to listen and come to an understanding. It offers a safe respectful place to work together to come up with agreed solutions.
